Action photography


Does the action photo show faces/emotion? it freezes the moment
Does it show the ball/equipment being used?yes it doesn't it shows what they are doing and gives context to the photo
Does it show people moving or do they just look like they are standing around? moving
Does it have good lighting? it is very well lit
Is it cropped to help focus on the subject in motion? yes
Is it focused or is it very blurry?  (For this project, some blur can be ok! Especially the if it's the object in motion!) very focused
Was the panning technique used?  no

  1. Keep the subject as the focal point
  2. anticipate whats going to happen
  3. adjust your camera to ensure it is clear
  4. put on burst mode
  5. follow your subject


One of the strengths in my action photo was getting them in the middle of an action
One of the challenges for my action photo was getting a photo that wasn't wildly blurry
In the future, I would overcome the above challenge by bring my stupid camera instead of using my phone to take these photos.

Alternative Angles

It's important to move your feet after you find the perfect angle. Meaning, after you find the shot or angle you think you want. Continue moving the camera or your body around to see if you can't find any other wars the picture can be shot. Or if you would like to include anything else in the background of the shot. It's also a good idea to do research on the area beforehand, so you know the type of environment and possible angle you'll be dealing with They took this picture from above with a fish bowl lens or effect to it This is from ground level but the building is tilted This is a straight on shot of a person sitting down This is take from the ground looking up to create a worms eye view This was taken from a straight on view This picture was taken from an elevated position

Landscape Cityscape

What is the difference between Landscape and Cityscape photography?  Landscape is of land and tress, mountains, lakes, Cityscape is of the city, like a skyline What is panorama/panoramic photography? the camera stitches together a group of photos to make it into one photo What is the Golden Hour?   What is the Blue Hour? I chose this  picture  because I have always wanted to see the Northern lights.
